Óscar Espitia is a Ph.D. student at the Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca / Department of Informatics, Systems, and Communication (DISCo) in Milan, under the supervision of Prof. Gabriella Pasi.
In 2015 received his bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), Colombia. In 2017 he received an M.Sc. degree in Systems Engineering and Informatics also from UIS. During the period 2018-2020, he worked as a computer scientist at the Department of Statistics from the Colombian Institute for the Educational Evaluation (Icfes).
During those periods, he centered his activities around topics such as image, data, and natural language processing.
