Somnath Banerjee is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca / Department of Informatics, Systems, and Communication (DISCo) in Milan, under the supervision of Prof. Gabriella Pasi.
He is working on the research project entitled: “PerLIR: Personal Linguistic resources in Information Retrieval”.
He received his Master’s degree and Ph.D. (received Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Fellowship) in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University (India).
Earlier, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at LIMSI, CNRS (Université Paris-Saclay, France) for 15 months. He was an intern at Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain) for 6 months. Also, he served as a Research Engineer at Jadavpur University (India) for 39 months.
