Detailed instructions for the participation to the pilot will be announced.
The goal behind the design of the PIR-CLEF 2017 workshop is twofold:
- to pilot a comparative PIR evaluation task, offering research teams a means to evaluate their original personalisation algorithms, by providing a baseline keyword-based representation of several users’ profiles (anonymised information gathered about individual users),
- to give research teams the means to formally define and evaluate their own and novel user profiling approaches for PIR, by providing them with accurate and curated information sources about real user preferences, which have been used for creating the baseline (the keyword-based user profiles).
